We picked this place to try the first time when meeting some old friends to catch up. The atmosphere is wonderful. Small, comfortable space with just a few tables and an open view of the kitchen. We sat with drinks, enjoying all the wonderful sounds and aromas from the cooking. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided recommendations for appetizers - both the pork belly and baked brie disappeared quickly - the only time we stopped chatting was when food was present. We were a later table, but only waited a couple minutes past our reservation and it was worth it. They were out of a couple of entrees (not surprising given their focus on fresh ingredients), but staff communicated well and ensured we found other options. At the table, we had the chicken saltimbocca, shrimp caprese, and salmon.....but no evidence of any remained at the end. Everything was fabulous. The chicken saltimbocca was one of the most balanced examples I've had, the prosciutto didn't overpower.....all the flavors worked well together. Overall, we were thrilled with the choice and to have found such a local gem. Can't wait to go back.
Fantastic little seasonal spot, far and away the best food in the area! Skip the chain places and get a real dinner somewhere where they care about what they're serving you!
Excellent dinner! The restaurant is really cool. We were able to watch the chef cook our dinner. Food was delicious. Our favorite was the hot honey scallops. They don't have their liquor license yet, but I can't wait to see what they come up with. I would definitely go back.
It was truly a wonderful dining experience. Matthew, the owner/ chef, his daughter and the rest of the team were exceptional people. Very warm and friendly. If you've never been here, you should make it a point to dine here. Reservations are highly recommended. My wife and I will be back, as there are many other dishes we want to try.
We had a great experience at Jack's on Main. It is hard to find, though. The GPS kept taking us other places. It is very small inside, so you should definitely get a reservation or call ahead to check. The service was great and the food was delicious. There were some creative things on the menu like the baked brie appetizer that were an absolute delicious combination of flavors. This little place is a definite recommend from me.
We recently dined at Jack's on Main, a restaurant that had garnered significant attention, and were delighted by the experience. The meal was outstanding, with notable highlights including mini crab cakes served with remoulade tartar sauce, a skillfully seasoned and tender filet, succulent bacon-wrapped shrimp, and a decadent cheesecake. The service was impeccable, ensuring a memorable experience.
The food here was absolutely amazing. Everything was flavorful and they gave good portions. I would definitely recommend this to place to anyone. I would suggest making reservations as seating is limited inside.
This is a hidden gem in Clayton. We've been 4 times now and each were perfect. The duck is incredible , the filet and crab cake ugh the best, he now makes his own rolls and they are addictive. It's so quaint , so clean, so friendly.
